About Coach Kishlay

Kishlay Rai completed his first IRONMAN in 2018 — with a broken wrist. Since then, he has finished 17 full-distance IRONMANs, qualified for the World Championship twice (Kona 2024, Nice 2023), and earned AWA Gold Athlete status.

But what makes his coaching different is not the race results.

It is the fact that he has coached IAS officers, Naval commanders, surgeons, and corporate executives — people with zero margin for wasted training time and zero tolerance for generic plans.

Every athlete Kishlay works with gets a plan built around their actual life: their work schedule, their travel calendar, their sleep constraints, and their race goal. Nothing is copy-pasted from a template.

If you are a working professional who wants to cross an IRONMAN finish line — without burning out or falling apart — this is where you start.

“I don’t train athletes who have nothing else to do. I train people who have everything going on — and still want to finish an IRONMAN.”— Kishlay Rai

Why Choose Us

Why Train With Kishlay?

One-to-One Coaching

Every athlete works directly with Kishlay — not an assistant, not a junior coach, not an AI-generated plan. You get Kishlay’s personal WhatsApp, weekly plan reviews and race-day communication.

Customized Training Plans

Plans are rebuilt from scratch for each athlete — not templates with your name pasted in. Your work schedule, travel calendar and available training hours are mapped before week one.

Specialized IRONMAN Training

Kishlay has finished 17 IRONMANs across 12 countries. He has raced through crashes, extreme weather and equipment failures. That first-hand knowledge goes directly into your race prep.

Maximizing Limited Time

Most athletes train 8–12 hours per week around full-time careers. Kishlay’s athletes have completed IRONMANs working 50-hour weeks. The plan fits your life — not the other way around.

Comprehensive Support

Swim, bike, run, strength and nutrition coaching — all included. No need to hire a separate nutritionist or swim coach. One plan, one coach, one monthly fee.

Performance-Driven Results

Athletes coached by Kishlay have qualified for the 70.3 World Championship, finished full IRONMANs while managing IAS responsibilities, and hit personal bests at Goa 70.3, Tallinn and Busselton.

Built for Real Life

Coaching for Busy Professionals, Not Just Full-Time Athletes

Many Train With Kishlay athletes are balancing demanding careers, family responsibilities and limited training hours. The coaching model is built to make consistent progress possible in real-world schedules.

Executives

Structured plans that fit around work

Your Q4 is brutal. Your training plan knows that. High-load weeks are scheduled around your work calendar — not against it. When your quarterly review hits, the plan pulls back automatically.

Civil Services

Clarity and accountability under pressure

Three of Kishlay’s athletes are IAS officers. One finished IRONMAN Tallinn at 14:28 while serving as CDO of Ghaziabad. The plan works around transfers, surprise duties and district visits.

Doctors and Specialists

Performance without burnout

You know better than anyone what overtraining does to the body. Kishlay’s plans are built with recovery as a non-negotiable — not an afterthought. Your performance improves without your health suffering.

Working Beginners

A practical path to your first finish

If you can walk 5 km, you can start. Kishlay has coached athletes who had never swum a lap in open water. Within 6 months, they finished a 70.3. The starting point does not matter — the structure does.

FAQ

Questions Before You Book? Here Are the Answers.

How many hours per week does training require?
Most athletes train 8–12 hours per week. Kishlay will map your actual available hours before building your plan. If you have 6 hours, the plan is built around 6 hours. Quality and consistency matter more than volume.
I have never done a triathlon. Can I still work with Kishlay?
Yes. Several of Kishlay’s athletes started with no prior triathlon experience. If you can swim a few laps, ride a bicycle and walk or jog — you can start. The plan builds from wherever you are, not from where you think you should be.
Is this online coaching or in-person?
Both. Coaching plans are delivered online and work for athletes anywhere in India or abroad. In-person coaching and camps are available in Goa. Many athletes combine online monthly coaching with one or two in-person camp weekends per year.
What does coaching actually cost?
Pricing depends on your goal, race timeline and the level of support you need. A free 30-minute consultation call will give you an exact quote with no obligation to commit.
I work 50–60 hours a week. Is this realistic for me?
Three of Kishlay’s athletes are IAS officers with 60+ hour work weeks. One is a Naval Commander. Another is a surgeon. The coaching model is built specifically for people whose careers cannot be paused. The training adapts around your professional life — not the other way around.
What happens if I miss a week of training or travel for work?
Plans are adjusted in real time. You message Kishlay, he updates the plan. There is no penalty for missing a session. The goal is sustainable progress over months — one missed week does not derail a 24-week plan.
How far in advance should I start coaching before my race?
For a 70.3: minimum 16 weeks, ideally 24 weeks. For a Full IRONMAN: minimum 24 weeks, ideally 32–36 weeks. For beginners targeting their first sprint or Olympic distance: 12–16 weeks. The earlier you start, the better the result.
What if I decide coaching is not right for me after I start?
There are no lock-in contracts. You can cancel at the end of any month. Kishlay will also be honest with you during the free consultation if he believes coaching is not the right fit at this stage.
