IRONMAN Certified Endurance Coach • 17x IRONMAN Finisher • 2x World Championship Qualifier
Kishlay Rai is among India’s leading IRONMAN triathletes, with 17 full distance IRONMAN finishes across multiple continents. His journey into triathlon began in 2017, followed by a coaching career that started in 2019.
A two time qualifier for the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona 2024 and Nice 2023, Kishlay has also held AWA Gold Athlete status since 2022. His coaching combines first hand racing experience with a practical understanding of what it takes to prepare athletes for endurance racing at every level.
Raised in a small village in Bihar’s Arrah district, Kishlay’s path to the IRONMAN World Championship was far from conventional. In his late twenties, a serious health setback involving obesity and high blood pressure pushed him to make a change. He started running in 2016, eventually discovering endurance sports and triathlon.
What followed was a complete transformation. From learning how to swim as an adult and overcoming the fear of open water to competing at the highest level of long distance triathlon, his journey reflects years of discipline, consistency, and resilience.
Today, based in Goa, Kishlay coaches athletes across the world, ranging from first time triathletes to experienced IRONMAN competitors. Every athlete receives a personalised training approach built around individual fitness levels, goals, lifestyle, and schedule.
